PHP includes
Before trying to complete this tutorial, make sure that your host is php enabled otherwise it'll mess up your website. Keep in mind that usually, hosts like freewebs, geocities & whatnot dont usually dont support PHP.
The first step of PHP is changing all of your files extensions from .html (or whatever extension they have) to .php. Its not very hard.
Then, once you've completed that step, you make a file called header.php. In header to PHP, you put top part of your page. Usually this consists of the HTML tags, Meta tags, Body, etc, like the example header code I've set up below. If your website is using divs, you'd also put your div coding in the header.php file.
Easy stuff. Then, you have to create a page named footer.php. This file will have all of your closing tags in it. Usually, simply the closing tags for BODY and HTML, like below. If you're using divs, closing tags for them would also be necessary.
Now comes the hard bit. Well, not so much hard, more... extremely boring. On every single page of your website, you have to add in the code in the box below
To the very top of every page. Remember to remove to *'s, then you have to add...
To the bottom of every page. Again, Remember to remove to *'s. In between the two codes just given to you, is your content and whatnot. Then, upload all of your files, and you're website has been converted to PHP includes! Congratulations!
